Abstract

|
In monochorionic placenta, there are various vascular anastomoses (arterial-arterial, arterial-venous and venous-venous)
that are responsible for twin?to?twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), selective intrauterine growth restriction (sIUGR) and
discordance for structural or chromosomal anomalies. Because of these unique conditions, some of monochorinoic
pregnancies require selective fetal reduction as vaso?occlusive procedures to ablate blood flow in the selected fetus. We report cases in which radiofrequency ablation was used for selective feticide in monochorionic twin with discordant for an
abnormality, TTTS and sIUGR.
